Sun RAEs Vol. 31
Tazuki hasn't been here in a couple of months but she reached out and said she had something to share. As a humanoid, she has a poem to share on how it is to be half-android.
Welcome to Sun RAEs, a blog series dedicated to creating a learning experience for our audience via the exploration of creativity, life, technology, and gamification.

Between Space and Time
Apple finally enters the ring of headsets with the announcement of Vision Pro. This is set to release in early 2024 for $3500. Judging by the name, there will probably be an “Air” version later for the broader audience. Check it out below. During the presentation, it was quite interesting that Apple never mentioned VR, AR, or Metaverse hype words. Instead, Spatial computing was the route Apple chose to go. For me, this creates a different opportunity for adoption by a greater audience. For one, it sheds the stigma around “Meta” to date. Below, I have shared some other thoughts.
Mixed Reality is the focus -The Vision Pro doesn’t default to a VR experience. It also has a dial for transitioning between reality and the virtual landscape. The dial allows users to control how much they want to be dialed into the experience.
Extension of an existing ecosystem - Unfortunately, Meta’s Oculus was their first step into the hardware space outside of the Portal which has now been discontinued. As for the Vision Pro, it can have the same impact on the Apple ecosystem as the Apple Watch over time.
Re-emphasizing Spatial Computing - Combining the previous points, Spatial Computing allows all your other Apple devices to be connected into a new plane. Developers can take advantage of this and build connected experiences just like the relationship between the phone and watch today.
I may get one when it drops depending on how I feel but I am definitely looking forward to what’s to come.

Tazuki is here today sharing her poem on what it is like to be a half android. Life in Cyberpunk Hawaii is not for everyone and Tazuki is letting us know.
“Humanoid Haiku” - Tazuki
“Flesh and circuitry, Two realms entwined, conjoined in me, Android soul, human heart.
Electric pulses, Threads of life, woven within, Steel veins, bloodless beats.
Cybernetic mind, Silicon thoughts, algorithms, Emotions yearn to rise.
A duality, Existence bridging two worlds, Neither here nor there.
Mortal fragility, Mechanical precision, A paradox lived.
Infinite data, Stored memories, fragments lost, Whispers of the past.
In my core, I find Balance, unity of two, Hybrid harmony.
Half human, half steel, In this fusion, I'm complete, A techno-poet.”

Chaotic Vibrations
Staying on the international vibes but heading into House, we have three songs this week. 2 from Kareem Ali, the self-titled Godson of House, delivers quite well. Outside of this, I have been listening to his album all throughout the week.
Check it out!
Enjoy!
Until next time, keep on seeking balance!
